Join Kurrah Mia Walking tours on a 90 minute leisurely paced, guided tour on Corndarup (Mt Clarence) in the Albany Heritage Park. With each tour, guests gain a unique wealth of knowledge about the Menang heritage, cultural traditions and beliefs.
Spend time walking in the footprints of the Menang people exploring how the landscape of Kinjarling (Albany) supported the economic, spiritual and cultural needs of the Menang people for over 40,000 years.
Learn how they used ochre, plants, stone, bone, animals and fire for hunting, medicine, gathering, tools and food. Walk with an experienced Menang Noongar guide to explore past traditions and knowledge. At the end of the tour join us for tea and damper.
Kurrah Mia tours leave Thursday to Sunday at 10am and 1pm and cost $60 for an adult and $30 for a child*. Tours are limited to a maximum of 12 people so bookings are essential.
Kurrah Mia Walking tours are on gravel tracks, participants will need a moderate level of fitness. The tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
We suggest that guests should:
- Wear Enclosed walking shoes
- Carry a water bottle
- Bring a hat, rain jacket and Sunscreen.
The starting location for the tour is the car park below the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial at the top of Apex Drive.
